It is intended that the data will be generated through mobile and local interviews with environmentalists in Wales. The research will examine the emotional response of environmentalists to climate change in their environment and work and how this relates to wider environmental work.
Scholarship Eligibiltity
Applicants should hold an undergraduate degree at 2.1 level in Geography or a related social science field, or a Masters degree with a minimum overall grade of ‘merit’ (or a non-UK equivalent such as explained by Swansea University).Applicants should have strong qualitative research skills, including data processing, generation and analysis. Masters level experience would be a plus.

English Language Requirements:
Where applicable – IELTS 6.5 overall (with at least 5.5 in each area) or recognized by Swansea.Due to financial constraints, this scholarship is open to applicants to pay tuition fees at UK rates only, as defined by UKCISA legislation.
A 3-year full-time PhD scholarship is available at Swansea University’s Department of Geography in ‘Life work’ and emotional work’.Climate action requires the growth of green industries and the increase of green jobs. A new generation of potential workers is increasingly driven by environmental concerns and the green credentials.
